It has been 12 days since the horrific #sydneysiege that resulted the death of two innocent Australians. As I walked around the Lindt factory in Switzerland, I was in awe of the incredible craft of the chocolate making, but I was also sorrowful for my fellow Australians who were mourning back home.
It's not about terrorism, or about country's at war. It's about men and women fighting for revenge, fear, and freedom. We celebrate and honor the men who died at war in WW1 and WW2, and yet we continue to send our sons to the battlefield.
Isn't it about time we put down our swords, and, just as the German and British soldiers did in the memorable Christmas truce in WW1, sit around a campfire with our fellow human beings, and just have a common laugh?
Or maybe it is wishful thinking that we all get along.
We are one.
But we are many, and for all the lands on Earth we come.
We share our dreams and sing with one voice.
I am, You are, We are Australian.
During times of chaos and pain, we stand together.
