While Priscilla is reading Vogue and sipping wine on her flight to Europe, I am at home eagerly anticipating the televised Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for 2014.
When I thought about writing a review for the show, I thought to myself... How do I write about the show, the brand, and the angels, all of whom I have idolised since I was a little.
Not only do I automatically put down the dessert I am indulging in, but I immediately start doing squats in front of the fashion show on television. I spent years dreaming of the day that I could walk side by side with Adriana Lima down the infamous sparkly catwalk.... as I am sure millions of young girls across the globe also did. For me, it didn't matter what the girls at school thought, It only mattered what I thought. It was my goal.
Regardless of the number of times you have seen it, or how many times you have dreamt of it, every year I wait for the moment when the year's favourite Victoria's Secret Angel struts down the runway in the million dollar bra.
Some of us wait for the slip-ups - the broken heel, the loose garment, the torn wing. Others wait for the day that they may be able to sit in the front row and consume the glitz and glamour of the show that is, The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
For girls of all ages, it is an hour long segment that motivates and inspires you to be the "angel" you wish to be.
A few highlights to watch out for in this year's show are:
1. Special performances by Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift.
2. Not one, but TWO million dollar bras worn by Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima.
3. Karlie Kloss with blonde hair, wearing the most expensive wing set.
4. Taylor Swift being labelled a potential addition to Victoria's Secret angel family on social media.
We saw the regular angels on the line up, but some new angels caught our eye.
1. Devon Windsor: The platinum blonde bombshell with a killer body and incredibly photogenic facial features. #stunning
2. Elsa Hosk: Real life Barbie.. In a beautiful Barbie way. Blue eyes and blonde hair. Or, step aside Barbie, her looks can also be considered replicates of Frozen's Elsa. #beachbabe
PS: Elsa hits Ariana Grande, and we cant help but laugh and feel sorry for Ariana!
3. Josephine Skriver: Back for her second year, this 21 year old beauty is full of life in every photo we have seen of her. She exudes happiness. #personality
